Overview
Service Engineer - Hydraulics - West Yorkshire - £37-40k plus x1.5 overtime + company van. Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Service Engineer with hydraulics experience for a Leeds-based company.
Responsibilities
- Carry out hydraulic service work at customer sites; when not traveling to site, work on the shop floor in Leeds.
- Lead jobs from start to finish, including dealing with customers, preparing quotes, scheduling works and creating RAMs from templates.
- Work a 36-hour week; overtime paid at x1.5 for hours over 36 (on average ~12 hours of overtime per week).
- Travel hours to site are paid (excluding the commute to company premises).
- Typical schedule of 2–3 days on site and 2–3 days on the shop floor in Leeds; regular weekly stopovers.
- Use a Ford Transit van with all required tools supplied.
- Receive a float for meals, expenses, hotels, etc., so no up-front outlays are required.
- Hold a UK driving licence and be able to work in the UK without sponsorship.
Qualifications
- Hydraulics qualifications are useful; if not held, the company will arrange training (Stages 1–3 at the National Fluid Power Centre).
- Previous experience with a specialist hydraulics company or a role heavily focused on hydraulics.
Location & Travel
The company is based in Leeds and is easily commutable from most of West Yorkshire and surrounding areas, including Leeds, Bradford and nearby towns in the region and beyond.
