Junior Electrical Design Engineer (Building Services) - London, Permanent

Their culture is relaxed, creative, and quality focused, with a new flexible office space to support agile working. Projects are varied and often contain unusual or challenging elements. Projects include residential blocks and major masterplans, workplace refurbishment, and major mixed-use developments, labs and pharma facilities. Now with a team of 45 engineers and consultants, they have identified significant growth opportunities in their MEP design team, starting with the growth of their electrical team, with a Junior Electrical Design Engineer opportunity.
What you’ll do
- As a junior engineer you will assist with the design and supervision of a variety of interesting projects. Carrying out detailed design where required, including the design of electrical systems in buildings, including power, lighting, fire alarms, security systems, data installations.
- You will also undertake surveys and assist more senior members of staff with larger-scale projects.
- This is an excellent development opportunity, as you will have constant contact time with experienced electrical design specialists.
What you’ll need to succeed
- You will have a minimum of 12 months experience within the building services space, ideally within the consultancy environment.
- You will need to be confident and have great communication skills to coordinate with your team, as well as develop client relations where possible.
- Ideally you will have experience using AutoCAD, MEP Revit, Amtech, Dialux etc.
