Are you a skilled Construction Estimator with a proven ability to drive business growth? Join a growing, family:run business in Northamptonshire where your commercial insight and estimating expertise will secure new and exciting projects across both private and public sectors.
Responsibilities
- Interpret architectural plans and produce accurate, actionable estimates.
- Support the company in securing new contracts and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Engage with architectural drawings, survey data, contractor input, and project specifications across residential and commercial developments within the construction sector.
- Report to the Managing Director and manage cost estimates, tenders, and budgets for a wide range of projects.
- Manage estimates for projects varying from A GBP 100,000 to A GBP 1 million plus (average around A GBP 250,000).
- Advise on design elements to ensure financial viability.
- Produce BOMs, obtain quotes, and negotiate prices for materials and services.
- Visit prospective and client sites to assess project scope and gather information.
Qualifications / Experience
- A Proven experience as a Construction / Project Estimator or Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- A Relevant estimator qualifications, e.g., Degree or similar in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
- A Experience bidding for and submitting tenders to both the private and public sector (A GBP 200k–A GBP 500k minimum).
- A Experience in managing projects, working closely with Architects, Project Managers, Surveyors, engineers, and clients.
- A Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Excel.
