Do you have a passion for Electrical Engineering? Are you driven to create solutions for unprecedented climate, environmental, and efficiency challenges facing our clients and the wider community? Then come and join us at Stantec!

We are excited to continue our growth journey in Northern Ireland and look forward to continued expansion in the months ahead. We have an exciting pipeline of work locally for clients such as NI Water and Uisce Éireann and also support the wider Stantec UK business in delivering a wide range of AMP8 projects.

We are currently seeking experienced Electrical or EICA Engineers to join our Water team in Belfast.

You will be involved in the whole project life cycle from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design and construction support, including site surveys and investigations. In line with our Communities of Practice approach, there are opportunities to work on a wide variety of projects including water, wastewater, energy, infrastructure, and environmental sectors.

As an experienced Electrical Engineer, you will hold responsibility for working and liaising with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the projects and community. You will understand how water treatment processes operate and be experienced in assessing the existing electrical and ICA infrastructure to develop and deliver the EICA design.

YOUR IMPACT

By joining our Belfast team, you aren’t just designing systems; you are safeguarding the future of Northern Ireland’s water infrastructure. Your expertise will be the catalyst for the AMP8 delivery in the UK, while you will turn complex climate challenges into sustainable realities for NI Water and Uisce Éireann. Whether you are optimizing a wastewater treatment plant or mentoring the next generation of local engineers, your work ensures that our communities have the resilient, efficient, and clean resources they need to thrive for decades to come.

About you

You will be an Electrical Engineer with design experience and working toward (or already achieved) Chartership with IMechE.

You will be experienced in writing technical specifications, control philosophies, schedules, reports, and be familiar with collaborative reviews and designs of solutions.

You will be able to produce Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, Network Infrastructure Diagrams, and provide engineering input to collaborative design outputs such as General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models, and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams.
