Responsibilities
- Responsible for completing a range of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) tasks and inspections daily, weekly, monthly and semi‑annually in accordance with SFG20 requirements, including daily and weekly system checks across sites.
- Communicate effectively with client site engineering teams and King & Moffatt management.
- Maintain all electrical and mechanical plant services to industry standards.
- Oversee subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with risk assessments, method statements and QHSE permits.
- Conduct electrical installations and upgrades in line with BS 7671 regulations.
- Test and inspect electrical systems; issue certifications such as EICRs and Minor Works Certificates.
- Apply technical knowledge of critical‑environment power, production line assemblies, HVAC, public address systems, fire alarm and emergency lighting.
- Identify part replacements, obtain quotations and plan condition maintenance.
- Maintain statutory engineering maintenance documentation and ensure accessibility.
- Ensure completion of PPMs and Client Service Requests within agreed SLAs.
- Maintain accurate records of all work completed through digital or paper‑based systems.
- Ensure compliance with audit requirements and review site SOPs, ERA’s and scenario training.
- Adhere to King & Moffatt QHSE procedures and implement improvements identified during inspections.
- Participate in technical training including competency assessments and scenario exercises.
- Join the out‑of‑hours call‑out rota for the site.
- Report on EHSQ performance of project teams and subcontractors and provide recommendations to the EHSQ Manager.
- Review EHSQ documentation submitted by contractors and undertake trend analysis of accident statistics.
- Collaborate flexibly with the client on service delivery.
Person Specification / Qualifications
- Strong experience with maintenance and PPM regimes to SFG20.
- Proficiency in PC and MS Office applications.
- Recognised third‑level qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Excellent fault‑diagnosis skills.
- Experience with BMS controls and HVAC systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work to high standards with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of emergency response, standby and call‑out activities and protocols.
- Experience with UPS, standby power, lifts, boilers and HVAC systems.
- Experience with electrical systems, switchgear and earthing systems (LV & HV).
- Eligibility to become a company SAP for LV systems.
Additional Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence.
- City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent, or 18th‑edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- 2391/2394/2395 Testing & Inspection qualification desirable.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance, ideally in a mobile role.
- Strong fault‑finding skills and knowledge of commercial electrical systems.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Desirable
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Knowledge of additional building services (HVAC, plumbing, etc.).
- IPAF, PASMA or ECS Card.
