AIS as a global leader in testing services, is now further expanding its testing services in and within the automotive and energy sectors. As part of this, AIS is seeking a Battery Test Engineer to service these testing sectors.
What will you do as our Battery Test Engineer?
- Set up and execute complex, established testing procedures and engineering services.
- Prepare and deliver clear, accurate reports on technical test results.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure effective test setup and clear requirement alignment.
- Provide technical expertise to line management in the development of new operational capabilities.
- Deliver accurate and timely information to support line management in effective project management.
- Maintain high health and safety standards within the department, including the development and implementation of new procedures.
- Actively participate in customer testing to deliver reliable results and insights.
What are we looking for in our Battery Test Engineer?
- BSc in engineering field with professional qualifications.
- Experience with the design, test and build of battery test solutions.
- Experience with electronics and test equipment associated with battery systems.
- Experience with CAN communications systems and setup of vehicle logging integrated systems.
- Able to perform data analysis with standard automation tools associated with battery testing (i.e. Vector, MATLAB / Simulink, C and excel).
- Qualified to work on high voltage DC (automotive) systems.
- Able to effectively prioritise in accordance with set deadlines.
- Be a collaborative team player.
- Able to operate calmly within a reactive and changeable delivery environment.
