Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Crawley – Office Based
Type: Permanent
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 Salary DOE + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension + Occasional Travel
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:45 to 17:30, Friday 08:45 to 12:45
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Product Design) required for a global manufacturer well known within their industry. You will have a strong understanding of the product design lifecycle and experience using SolidWorks to create 3D designs and models, as well as 2D production drawings.
The Mechanical Design Engineer Role
- Mechanical design from concept
- Use of SolidWorks
- Design for manufacturing
- Design of jigs and fixtures
- Working on both customer and R&D projects
- Working with products made of plastic and sheet metal
- Creation of BOMs
The Mechanical Design Engineer Candidate
- Mechanical design background
- Experience with SolidWorks
