As an Electrical Engineer in the nuclear defence sector, you will support the design, development, and maintenance of critical electrical systems for national defence infrastructure. You will ensure compliance with strict safety, regulatory, and security standards while contributing to complex engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage electrical design and project documentation, including design changes and concessions.
- Produce EIMT schedules, operating procedures, and supporting evidence to meet safety case requirements.
- Prepare and review safety reports and technical justifications for design modifications.
- Provide technical advice to internal and external stakeholders.
- Undertake Independent Technical and Peer Reviews (ITA/IPR).
- Apply specialist engineering knowledge in nuclear or high-risk environments.
- Review and verify calculations, technical reports, and safety submissions.
Essential Key Requirements
- At least 5 years’ experience assessing HV/LV electrical installation designs.
- Ability to produce clear, robust technical justifications.
- Strong general and specialist engineering knowledge.
- Experience supporting multi-disciplinary projects.
- Relevant engineering degree.
- Incorporated Engineer status (or equivalent experience).
Desirable
- Experience in nuclear or other high-hazard industries.
- Knowledge of full lifecycle engineering processes.
- Understanding of safety case development and hazard analysis (e.g. HAZID/HAZOP).
- Chartered Engineer status.
