Responsibilities

- Provide support and leadership to the site, proactive quality programs including DFMEA, PFMEA, COPQ reduction projects, incident investigation and waste reduction projects.
- Ensure requirements that are critical to quality (CTQ’s) are defined, understood and aligned with current capabilities and are managed to ensure conformance.
- Develop processes based on Critical to Quality (CTQ’s) and Critical to Process (CTP’s).
- Actively facilitate continuous improvement projects with cross-functional teams and support execution and close-out activities.
- Conduct quality-based risk assessments to determine the criticality of activities performed and the competence of affected employees.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our customer quality requirements.
- Provide support to the Planning, Proposal, and Development process (risk, RFQ review, exceptions, etc.).
- Review, approve and provide comment on specifications, drawings, plans and procedures.
- Establish requirements of Gage Calibration and perform/validate Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
- Develop, maintain, implement and evaluate conformance to inspection and testing plans (ITPs), IQCPs, and quality plans.
- Facilitate/support external audits for site certifications, internal and external audits as needed.
- Provide QA/QC support to client projects, including risk management, quality reporting, audit management, and other project activities.
- Prepare and troubleshoot corrective actions related to nonconforming events/near hits, promoting robust root cause methodologies.
- Quantify and analyze COPQ data and metrics for local and global management.
- Support process monitoring and measurement through statistical process control where applicable.
- Ensure independent asset, product, and component inspection functions meet industry standards, regulatory statutes, and customer requirements.
- Compile and maintain detailed Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans, including client-specific Product Inspection & Test Plans.
- Serve as Quality representative for client and 3rd party inspection site audits/meetings/visits and coordinate with Quality Control for witnessing tests.
- Utilize the QMS online system to manage quality assurance fundamentals and provide data to drive improvement aligned with strategic direction.
- Support customer satisfaction and loyalty processes.
- Support the organization’s drive towards excellence in Health and Safety performance, including Stop observations and HSE-related activities as assigned.
- Demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude and support Oceaneering’s culture of Safety, Quality, learning and continual improvement.
Supervisory/Manager/Leadership Responsibilities
- This position may have direct supervisory responsibilities and may coordinate team workload and act as a mentor to other employees.
- Lead Group: Mentor, coach, and manage staff; establish and roll out best practices; participate in leadership activities.
- Workload and Goals Management: Manage direct reports’ workload, goals, and development plans.
- Administrative Duties: Manage direct reports’ holiday coverage and participate in departmental management meetings.
REQUIRED
- Experience in a relevant Quality Engineering/Continuous Improvement role with evidence of systems and process improvement.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS requirements.
DESIRED
- ISO 9001 lead auditor qualification
- Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and related systems as required for the role.
