Job Title: Geotechnical Site Engineer
Location: Glasgow
Salary: £32000 to £36000 per Annum
Permanent Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and technically capable Geotechnical Site Engineer to join a busy ground investigation and environmental consultancy delivering projects across the UK. This role is based in Glasgow and offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of infrastructure, commercial, and residential schemes.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and undertake ground investigations, including drilling, trial pits, and sampling works.
- Log soils and rocks, monitor groundwater, carry out in situ testing, and collect high-quality data for reporting.
- Ensure site activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with specifications and industry standards.
- Liaise closely with subcontractors, laboratories, and internal project managers to ensure smooth delivery.
- Contribute to factual reporting and data interpretation, with support from senior staff.
- While the role is predominantly site based, you will also contribute to reporting and data interpretation; projects will be locally focused around Glasgow, with some travel to regional sites as required.

Candidate Requirements
- Live within a commutable distance of Glasgow
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience within the geotechnical, geoenvironmental or hydrogeology sectors
- Academic background within civil engineering, geology, earth or environmental sciences
