MIES Facilities Management Ltd is looking for an experienced Fire & Security and Emergency Lighting Engineer to join our growing team.

This role involves working across a variety of sites carrying out installation, maintenance, commissioning, and fault finding on fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and intruder alarm systems.

This is a field-based role offering door-to-door pay, overtime opportunities, and ongoing training, providing long-term career stability within a professional and supportive team.

• Installation, servicing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems
• Installation and maintenance of emergency lighting systems
• Installation, servicing, and fault finding of intruder alarm systems
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently
• Ensure all work complies with relevant fire safety standards and regulations
• Maintain accurate service reports and documentation
• Liaise with clients and internal teams when required
• Maintain a professional approach while representing the company on client sites

Essential Qualifications

• FIA Units 1 & 2 (Fire Industry Association)
• Proven experience working with fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and intruder alarm systems
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Qualifications

• 18th Edition (City & Guilds 2382-22) – Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671
• Additional Fire & Security industry certifications
• Experience working within commercial and retail environments
• Knowledge of current fire safety and electrical regulations
• £34,000 – £40,000 salary depending on experience
