What the Role Involves
As part of the maintenance team, you will:
- Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance on a range of production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC systems quickly to minimise downtime.
- Work with pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, valves, ovens, mixers, pressure systems, and refrigeration.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to avoid breakdowns.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, ideally in food production or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of PLC systems and continuous improvement/PPM practices.
- Qualifications such as BTEC/ONC in Electrical Engineering or a time-served apprenticeship/HNC in electrical, mechanical, or production maintenance.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset to keep production running efficiently.
