Position: Controls Engineer

Location: Poole (Commutable from Bournemouth, Christchurch, Wimborne and surrounding areas)

Salary: £50,000 + Bonus (up to 5%)

Shift: Monday – Friday

Are you an experienced Controls Engineer looking to join a business that's investing in automation, innovation, and long-term growth? We're looking to speak with engineers who are looking to join a rapidly growing manufacturer that is putting its Engineering team first! You will join an experienced controls/automation team that are at the forefront of the engineering department- with an exciting expansion project you will bring technical knowledge to a wide range of new manufacturing machinery!

Responsibilities

  • Providing electrical, control, and automation support across maintenance, projects, and commissioning
  • Responding to faults and minimising downtime through effective problem solving
  • Maintaining and improving PLC, HMI, SCADA, and instrumentation systems
  • Supporting control system upgrades and site-wide improvement projects
  • Driving a proactive approach to maintenance and system reliability
  • Ensuring engineering records, asset history, and maintenance systems are kept up to date

Qualifications

  • Degree/HND in Electrical Engineering, Control & Instrumentation or similar
  • Strong EC&I background with proven industry experience
  • Experience with PLCs, control systems, and automation
  • Strong fault-finding and analytical skills
  • FMCG or manufacturing experience (desirable)
  • Health & safety focused mindset
