Job Description

  • To report to Head of the Department for daily job assignments.
  • Carry out inspection, installation, testing, commissioning, servicing, maintenance and troubleshooting for the assigned jobs that include but not limited to:
    • Electrical works
    • PLC Controllers/Modules
    • BMS/SCADA
    • HMI
    • A/C Works
  • Provide internal & external trainings on electrical controls, electrical troubleshooting, PLC program writing & troubleshooting, control panel assembly and basic electrical theory.
  • Produce Progress Tracking Report (PTR) for assigned jobs.
  • Report and communicate with customers and Oceanmaster PIC the technical issues, status, progress and recommendations of the assigned job.
  • Submit to Operations Administrator an accurate and duly signed & stamped Timesheets, Work Reports, Commissioning Checklists (if any) and Customer Satisfaction Survey Forms on every completion of assigned job.
  • Produce Close-Out Report after completion of the assigned job.
  • Comply with quality of work requirements of OceanMaster at all times.
  • Comply with protection of environment and health & safety policies of OceanMaster at all times.
  • Adhere to no wastage policy of OceanMaster in terms of materials and labour to assigned jobs at all times.
  • All other duties assigned by the Managements as and when necessary.

Requirements

  • Graduate of Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering (Bachelor’s Degree)
  • Minimum 5 year experience in Marine Electrical field
  • Minimum 3 year experience in Instrumentations and PLC handling and installation
  • Proficient in Electrical, instrumentation and/or Electronics troubleshooting
  • Proficient in written and oral English communication skill
  • Proficient in material take off and labour estimate for a given Electrical project
  • Proficient on electrical circuit diagram design
  • Good knowledge on ladder logic programming
  • Good grasp on technical writing
  • Good leadership, coaching and analytical skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Team player
  • Knowledge on Project Schedule Software or Autocad is an advantage
