The Programme and Project Delivery team is comprised of Programme Managers, Project Managers, and Agile Delivery professionals, working collaboratively to drive efficient change delivery. The Solution Train Engineer will have strong Agile experience with a proven track record of leading coordination and orchestration across multiple Release Trains and complex programmes.

The main purpose of the role is to ensure alignment, orchestration and delivery across multiple ARTs and suppliers so end‑to‑end solutions land as intended. You will operate above individual ARTs, ensuring large‑scale initiatives are aligned, sequenced and delivered cohesively across domains.

This role focuses on managing cross‑train dependencies, architectural alignment, integrated planning and enterprise‑level risk. You will ensure that large, multi‑stream initiatives – such as major data platform upgrades, data product development, or new capability rollouts – progress in a coordinated and controlled manner.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead integrated planning across multiple Release Trains to ensure alignment on scope, sequencing and milestones.
  • Identify, manage and resolve cross‑train dependencies that span domains, platforms and business units.
  • Coordinate enterprise‑level roadmaps and ensure architectural coherence across major initiatives.
  • Provide consolidated visibility of delivery risk, sequencing conflicts and critical path constraints at solution level.
  • Align enterprise governance, compliance and operational readiness standards across participating Release Trains.
  • Facilitate resolution of systemic delivery blockers that cannot be resolved within a single Release Train.
  • Oversee enterprise‑level readiness for major integrated releases or transformation milestones.
  • Drive continuous improvement in large‑scale coordination, flow and cross‑domain collaboration.

Who we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who can ensure enterprise solutions maintain alignment between architecture, governance, release sequencing and business milestone and be able to balance agility with structured oversight across multiple delivery streams.

  • Strong experience coordinating solutions that span multiple delivery teams or trains and deep understanding of scaled Agile frameworks.
  • Practical knowledge of enterprise dependency management, cross‑domain architectural alignment and integrated milestone planning
  • Experience overseeing complex technology transformations and multi‑domain integration programmes and the ability to interpret system‑level architectural trade‑offs and sequencing implications across multiple platforms.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise governance, risk management and operational resilience considerations.
  • Provide leadership and coordination across multiple Release Train Engineers, Delivery Leads, Product Owners, and third‑party suppliers that participant in the Solution Train.
  • The ability to shape ways of working and drive continuous improvement through data and management information.
  • Experience operating within regulated Financial Services environments, with awareness of enterprise risk, compliance and regulatory oversight.
  • SAFe® Release Train Engineer (RTE) and/or Leading SAFe® / SAFe® Agilist Certifications
