Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Kent (Hybrid) • Rate: circa GBP500 p/day – Outside IR35 (Depending on experience) • Duration: 6 months+ / ongoing • Sector: Water
Carrington West are working with a leading Design & Build Contractor delivering major design schemes within the water sector from their office in Kent. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with a water sector background who has experience in detailed design and can assist with design reviews and submissions.
Opportunities exist at the Engineer and Senior Engineer level to assist with key design reviews for wastewater treatment projects on behalf of water authorities and their AMP projects nationwide.
Requirements
- Experience in the full cycle of project design delivery from inception to detailed design.
- Ability to lead small projects and sub tasks from a technical perspective.
- Knowledge and experience of design of Water treatment works, Wastewater treatment works, Potable water networks, pumping stations and reservoirs.
- Experience of working within multidisciplinary teams, able to provide technical mentoring to graduate engineers and technicians.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to represent in client-facing roles.
- Knowledge of safety in design principles and compliance with H&S standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Industry relevant degree.
- Experience using a 3D design tool and other proprietary software products.
- Previous experience working on water/wastewater and AMP related projects for a UK water authority.
