They deliver innovative and bespoke MEP design solutions across a wide range of sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, residential, leisure, and public sector.
Their services span Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health Engineering, BIM, Net Zero Carbon design, Dynamic Thermal Simulation, BREEAM consultancy, and Energy Performance Certification. Hiring Multiple Candidates: Two Roles in Cardiff (Senior) and One in Bristol (Associate)
Role 1: Associate Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Bristol
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
Level: Associate – senior leadership grade
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee complex electrical design commissions across all RIBA stages
- Act as lead engineer and client-facing contact for key accounts and major projects
- Provide technical leadership and quality assurance across the electrical team
- Contribute to business development — building client relationships and supporting bids and proposals
- Line manage and mentor Senior and junior engineers, supporting chartership development
- Drive consistency in design standards, QA processes, and engineering outputs
- Represent the business at client meetings, design team meetings, and industry events
- Support Directors in the growth and strategic direction of the Bristol office
Technical Expertise
- Advanced knowledge of LV distribution, switchgear, and HV infrastructure
- Cable calculations using Amtech / ElectricalOM
- Generator, transformer, and UPS systems
- Lighting design using Dialux / Relux
- Fire alarm, life safety, and specialist systems
- BIM and CAD design environments
- Net zero carbon and sustainability-led electrical design
Requirements
- Significant experience in electrical building services design, with a strong track record of leading major projects
- Proven ability to manage teams, develop client relationships, and deliver to programme and budget
- Chartered Engineer status (or close to achieving) — CIBSE or IET
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of fee management
- Experience operating at Associate or equivalent level preferred

Role 2: Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Cardiff
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design across all RIBA stages
- Manage projects and coordinate engineering teams
- Develop and maintain client relationships and manage stakeholder communications
- Oversee QA procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Support and mentor junior engineers, contributing to team development
- Undertake site inspections, commissioning support, and technical reviews
Technical Expertise
- LV distribution and switchgear
- Cable calculations using Amtech / ElectricalOM
- Generator, transformer, and UPS systems
- Lighting design using Dialux / Relux
- Fire alarm and life safety systems
- HV infrastructure and private networks
- CAD and BIM software
Requirements
- 5+ years of electrical building services design experience
- Experience leading projects and managing engineering teams
- Member of CIBSE or IET (or working towards)
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status
