Production Engineer

• Up to £45,000 per annum

We are working with a respected client in Rochdale who are recruiting for a Production Engineer due to expansion to support function to all areas of production.

The Job

• CAD knowledge (Solidworks)
• Experience of 4 and 5‑axis machining techniques
• Experience of CNC Lathes
• Execution of manufacturing engineering tasks to deadlines
• Creation of process specifications
• Support the department with routings, BOMs, production orders, costings
• Knowledge of ERP systems preferably SAP
• Provide support and expertise to optimise and improve process capability and yield
• Ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders e.g., purchasing, engineering, group etc

About you

• Experience of working in a technical/engineering environment – medium to heavy engineering
• Experience, knowledge of hard surface welding methods.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• SolidWorks 3D modelling
• Project management skills
• Creating BOMs and routings
• Preparation of costings for intercompany production
• Lean principles, waste reduction, efficiency improvements, process flow, etc
• Formal technical qualification – craft/technician level machining‑biased apprenticeship up to HNC/HND level in mechanical/production engineering
