Field Service Engineer – Fire Systems (Hybrid Role)

Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 + Benefits

Location: North Bristol (covering South Wales, M5 Corridor to Gloucester, and Swindon)

We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a well‑established and growing business in a hybrid role combining commissioning, small works, and maintenance. This is an ideal opportunity for a well‑rounded engineer who enjoys variety in their work and is looking for a regional role with no on‑call requirement, offering excellent work‑life balance.

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Commissioning fire alarm systems across a range of sites
• Carrying out small works, upgrades, and system modifications
• Performing routine servicing, maintenance, and fault finding
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with industry standards and regulations
• Providing professional support and maintaining strong client relationships

Key Requirements

• Experience working within the fire and security industry
• Good knowledge of fire alarm systems, including commissioning and maintenance
• Ability to manage a varied workload across commissioning, small works, and servicing
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Based in or around North Bristol (preferred)

Area Coverage

• North Bristol and surrounding areas
• South Wales
• M5 corridor up to Gloucester
• Across to Swindon

Candidates should be comfortable travelling within this region.
