Overview
We are representing a high-performing, multi-disciplinary MEP consultancy seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Bristol team. This pivotal role requires a technically astute engineer who can lead on high-value projects, manage client relationships, and mentor junior staff. Role Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design and delivery of diverse schemes from initial feasibility through to site completion.
- Leadership: Chair internal project meetings, manage resource allocation, and supervise a team of engineers and technicians.
- Design & Technical: Own electrical building services design, including LV switchgear, distribution systems, standby power/generators, and HV infrastructure.
- Software Proficiency: Deliver precise calculations and designs using Amtech, DIALux, Relux, and AutoCAD/BIM software.
- Commercial Management: Manage project deliverables in accordance with NEC and JCT contracts, ensuring adherence to BSRIA and BS 7671 standards.
- Client Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for clients, design partners, and contractors, maintaining strong professional relationships throughout.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience within a building services consultancy.
- Affiliation: Member of IET or CIBSE (holding or working towards Chartered Engineer status).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of sustainable construction, current building regulations, and on-site power generation.
- Attributes: A methodical, organized, and self-motivated professional with a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills.
