ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Solutions QA Engineer, you will be responsible for testing solutions (internal and 3rd party) ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and use.
As our Solutions QA Engineer, you’ll support Toppan Security’s success by:
- Collaborating with developers and QA teams to translate software requirements into test cases and develop comprehensive test plans.
- Investigating and troubleshooting defects, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolutions and monitor progress.
- Driving product excellence by rigorously testing and validating features to meet performance, reliability, and security standards.
Main missions:
- Design, develop, and execute test cases based on requirements and specifications.
- Perform manual and/or automated testing of applications.
- Leverage AI-powered tools to enhance test case design, defect analysis, and test coverage optimization.
- Expertise in Test automation. Python scripting using WebWeaver preferred.
- Report and track defects using tools like JIRA or similar.
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in test planning, estimations, and review meetings.
- Provide demo to customers, training to end users, and knowledge sharing internally.
- Ensure quality standards and best practices are maintained.
- Travel to customer sites (International) for leading CAT and Go-Live activities.
- Thorough understanding of Agile Scrum Process.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or have equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing. QA Certification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and defect life cycle.
- Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, ADO).
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Language Skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing. Communicating in Amharic is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
Work Environment
- The employee works primarily in an office environment, within a well-ventilated area, and is exposed to moderate noise levels.
Work Requirements
- Compliance with all relevant customer and Toppan Security policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, Environmental systems, and laws.
- Travel and fieldwork, including international travel may be required up to 10%. Therefore, employees must possess, or be able to acquire a valid passport and associated visas if required.
