Multiskilled Shift Engineer - Bournemouth - 6 months FTC - £42K
An exciting opportunity to join an established FM building services company based in a Healthcare environment on a static basis in Bournemouth. CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to be based in a Healthcare building in Bournemouth on a 6 month fix term contract. He or she will be required to carry out planned and reactive building maintenance alongside the maintenance team on site. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have proven track record in Electrical and Mechanical building maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lighting (Small installation, Fault‑finding, Lamping, Changing ballast's, Control panel, Power distribution)
- Emergency lighting
- Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
- Chillers - Re‑set
- Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
- Plumbing – Unblocking toilets
- BMS System – Monitor (i.e. Hot & Colds)
- UPS Systems – Monitor / Take readings
- General building fabric
- Monitor mechanical plant
- Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
Hours of Work
40 hour week: Saturday and Sundays 8am – 4pm; 3 weekday evenings (flexible) 3pm – 10pm.
Requirements
- Electrically or mechanically qualified – must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 & 3
- City & Guilds – 17th or 18th Edition if electrically biased
- Proven track record in commercial or property maintenance
- Installation experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Honest, hard‑working and reliable
