About the Role
Chase Taylor Recruitment are working on behalf of a well-established window and door manufacturer who are looking to appoint an experienced Production Manager to oversee and drive performance across their manufacturing operation. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement within a fast‑paced fenestration environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day production operations within a window and door manufacturing facility.
- Manage and develop production teams to ensure targets are met across output, quality, and efficiency.
- Implement and maintain lean manufacturing processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all products are manufactured in line with industry standards and specifications.
- Monitor and manage KPIs, including productivity, waste reduction, and on‑time delivery.
- Work closely with other departments including sales, transport, and installation teams.
- Maintain a strong focus on health & safety compliance across the site.
- Identify and resolve production issues quickly to minimise downtime.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Production Manager (or similar) within the window and door / fenestration industry.
- Strong knowledge of uPVC / aluminium systems, glazing, or fabrication processes.
- Experience managing teams within a manufacturing or construction‑related environment.
- A hands‑on leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Strong understanding of production planning, workflows, and process improvement.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
