This is a fantastic opportunity for those who thrive in a hands‑on role, with an exciting 50/50 split between design engineering and quality assurance!
What You'll Do:
Design Engineering (50%)
- Create, modify, and maintain 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks (essential!).
- Support new product development and manage engineering changes.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing to ensure designs are practical, efficient, and fit for purpose.
- Provide technical input to meet customer and application requirements.
Quality Engineering (50%)
- Support and enhance quality processes across manufacturing operations.
- Assist with audits, inspections, non‑conformances, and corrective actions.
- Work alongside the Quality team to maintain ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards.
- Produce technical reports, documentation, and conduct root‑cause analysis.
About You:
- Degree‑qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Design, or a similar field.
- Proficient in SolidWorks - your expertise is essential!
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- A genuine interest in both design and quality engineering.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 / ISO14001 is a plus, but don't worry if you're not familiar - training will be provided!
- You're organised, proactive, and comfortable collaborating across various functions.
