Location: Leicester / Coventry

Overview

V7 Recruitment is working with a well‑established fire and security specialist to recruit a Fire Alarm Service Engineer covering Leicester/Coventry and the surrounding region. This field‑based role focuses on servicing, maintenance and fault‑finding across commercial sites to keep fire alarm systems fully compliant, operational and up to current industry standards.

Salary & Benefits

• Competitive & flexible basic salary, typically £35,000 – £42,000 per year

• Call‑out rota with additional payment (participate 1 in 8)

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain fire alarm systems across commercial sites
• Diagnose and repair faults efficiently
• Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Ensure all works comply with current British Standards (BS 5839)
• Accurately complete service reports and certification
• Liaise with clients on‑site and provide technical guidance where required
• Participate in call‑out rota (1 in 8)

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience servicing fire alarm systems
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic ability
• Good understanding of BS 5839 regulations
• Experience working on conventional and addressable systems
• Full UK driving licence
