Technical Sales Assistant – Ipswich

Responsibilities

• Serve customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Speak to suppliers to source and get quotes on costs for parts, materials and special order items for customers.
• Complete general warehouse duties, including picking and packing orders, putting away deliveries, and merchandising displays to a high standard.

This is a full-time permanent role, working 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 with 1 hr break). No weekend work required.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge on Climate products or merchant experience is beneficial but not essential; full training will be provided.
• Experience working with trade counter/front facing – essential.
• Proven experience in sales or customer service role.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence in customer interactions.
• Dependable team player, prepared to support in all areas of the branch with a strong work ethic.
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
