Senior Mechanical Pre-Construction Estimator (Fit Out Contractor)

This isn’t a traditional mechanical estimating role.

A design‑led fit‑out contractor is looking to bring in a Senior Mechanical Preconstruction Estimator for what is a newly created position within the company, to strengthen its front‑end capability across high‑value commercial projects.

You’ll operate at the early stages of schemes, taking ownership of mechanical cost planning, interrogating MEP subcontractor tenders, and helping shape procurement and delivery strategy.

No heavy take‑offs. No rinse‑and‑repeat tendering.

This is about commercial control, technical insight, and influence.

What you’ll be doing:

• Building mechanical cost plans from early‑stage design
• Reviewing and challenging MEP subcontractor pricing
• Supporting two‑stage tenders and PCSA processes
• Identifying risk, gaps, and VE opportunities
• Advising on buildability and procurement strategy
