Overview
Are you an experienced HIL Test Engineer with a passion for automotive innovation? We’re working with a leading automotive OEM to find a talented engineer (initial 12 month contract) to support cutting-edge steering system development. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to future vehicle technologies in a high-performance environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and run test cases in the Steering System HIL (e.g., DSPACE, XPACK4).
- Implement existing vehicle test procedures in the HIL setup.
- Operate and maintain the Steering System HIL rig.
- Develop analysis methods and metrics to evaluate test results.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to meet test requirements.
- Characterise and compare steering systems; generate technical reports.
- Correlate virtual models with HIL and vehicle data.
- Extensive HIL testing experience (DSPACE, XPACK4 or similar).
- Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics and mechatronic systems.
- Proficient in simulation tools (Matlab/Simulink, IPG Carmaker, etc.).
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving expertise (6-Sigma or similar).
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques is a plus.
- Agile methodology experience and a collaborative team player.
- BSc or MSc in Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive, or Data Science.
