Functional Skills Tutor – Nottingham (NG9)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Functional Skills Tutor to support students in the Nottingham (NG9) area. This is a rewarding opportunity to help learners develop essential English and Maths skills and achieve their qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one or small group Functional Skills tuition (English and Maths)
• Support students in building core literacy and numeracy skills
• Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs
• Encourage engagement, confidence, and progression
• Monitor and report on student progress

Requirements

• Experience teaching or tutoring Functional Skills (English and Maths)
• Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable)
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A patient, supportive, and flexible approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Right to work in the UK

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.

Working Hours

• Part-time / flexible
• Typically weekdays (Monday to Friday)
