Turn IT on is looking for an ICT Consultant who has a real flair for technology and a passion for providing exemplary service to our customers. You will support a Trust in Hemel Hempstead.
Key responsibilities will include maintaining all IT hardware and services across the school's sites and helping the schools improve the standard of their ICT provisions to support effective teaching and learning.
You will act as the link between the schools and Turn IT on, keeping them up to date and managing customer accounts. You will maintain school computer equipment, install software, provide technical support and resolve problems, and have good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience as an ICT Technician or 2nd‑line support, preferably in the education sector.
Responsibilities
- Resolve and manage any technical issues that impact the running of schools by providing robust solutions.
- Installation or repair of computers with standardised applications and networking software, diagnosing and solving operational problems.
- Respond to a wide range of technical duties associated with the computer network and desktop services, including existing installations and upgrades (desktop computers, iPads, printers, telephones, scanners, projectors, PA equipment, AV lecterns and hardware).
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong technical background and passion for IT.
- Self‑motivated team player with strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to explain technical issues in layman’s terms.
- Independent work style, proactive problem‑solving and improvement mindset.
