The Senior Recruitment Consultant is responsible for delivering end‑to‑end recruitment solutions to clients while building and maintaining strong candidate and stakeholder relationships. This role requires a commercial mindset, strong market knowledge, and the ability to manage complex recruitment assignments independently while contributing to team performance and mentoring junior consultants.
Responsibilities
- Client Management & Business Development
- Build, manage, and grow long-term client partnerships through consultative recruitment solutions
- Understand client needs, business models, and hiring strategies
- Provide market insights, salary benchmarking, and talent advisory services
- Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities
- Negotiate terms, fees, and service agreements with clients
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from role briefing to placement and post‑placement care
- Source, attract, and engage top-tier talent using multiple channels (databases, LinkedIn, networking, referrals)
- Screen, interview, and assess candidates against role requirements and cultural fit
- Shortlist and present high-quality candidate profiles to clients
- Coordinate interviews, manage feedback, and facilitate offer processes
- Handle counteroffers, negotiations, and onboarding support
- Candidate Relationship Management
- Build trusted relationships with candidates and act as a career advisor
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records
- Ensure a high-quality candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
- Market Expertise & Thought Leadership
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of industry trends, skills demand, and competitor activity
- Share insights and best practices with clients and internal teams
- Contribute to employer branding and talent attraction initiatives
- Support, mentor, and guide junior consultants and recruiters
- Share best practices, sourcing strategies, and market knowledge
- Collaborate with peers to achieve team and business objectives

Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification preferred (not essential depending on experience)
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in recruitment (agency or consulting environment preferred)
- Proven track record of successful placements and client management
- Experience managing senior or specialist roles is advantageous
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
