  • Pay Level: 6 £36,508 – £40,958 fully inclusive of Local Weighting Allowance
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Working Hours: 37 hours per week
  • Location: Observatory House/ Slough Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in the office)

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Workforce Delivery Officer, you will lead the coordination and delivery of the Council’s Workforce Strategy, working across services to turn plans into action. You will track progress against key workforce priorities such as recruitment, retention, skills development, leadership capacity, and employee wellbeing. You will work closely with senior leaders and Members to ensure strong governance, reporting, and alignment with the Council Plan and Medium‑Term Financial Strategy. Using workforce data and insight, you will identify risks, monitor trends such as vacancy rates and turnover, and help shape solutions that strengthen workforce sustainability. A key part of the role will be supporting culture transformation—championing the Council’s values, facilitating engagement sessions and workshops, and helping deliver initiatives that build an inclusive, high‑performing workplace. You will also support employee engagement activities, internal communications, and partnerships with regional workforce networks.
