Responsibilities include:
- Account management of major contractors, specialist subcontractors and distributors within the territory. Building good relationships with all.
- Secure product sales in line with area targets and business strategy by presenting our design proposal and benefits of use in a structured and professional manner.
- Champion our brand by gaining and maintaining specification of Ancon & Halfen products.
- Advising on suitability and selection of Ancon & Halfen Products for specific situations.
- Provide general advice on the performance and applications of Ancon components.
- Increase business opportunities through various routes to market.
Suitable candidates would ideally have a background in a related construction industry, be already working externally, or with a track record of managing project sales. We would also consider applicants looking to progress from an internal to an external role or a Graduate with a relevant technical qualification ( HNC Construction, BSC Eng ) looking to start their career. The successful candidate will be developed to fully understand our business, products and services.
Qualifications:
- Commercially led professional
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good personal and professional organisational skills
- Understanding of basic structural design principles/ Technical background
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Be able to work as part of a team
- High degree of self‑motivation and a willingness to succeed
- Enthusiasm for business travel
- Full UK driving licence
- Attend industry events as necessary
