Job Description:

The Education Commissioning Team are seeking an enthusiastic and organised person to take on the role of Commissioning Officer. You will join a friendly, hardworking and committed team with a passion to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.

This post will lead the performance managing, supporting and developing of the Staffordshire Enhanced District Inclusion Support (SEDIS) teams across Staffordshire districts, along with other contracts, and support alternative provision commissions. The SEDIS teams provide early support to schools to meet the needs of children and young people who experience barriers to learning and inclusion.

This is a hybrid working role, some office working will be required.

Main Responsibilities

  • Performance managing and developing the Staffordshire Enhanced District Inclusion Support (SEDIS) Teams across the county
  • Monitoring outcomes achieved
  • Leading on the delivery of agreed aspects of the commissioning cycle
  • Supporting contract management of other contracts
  • Supporting the commissioning of alternative provision
  • Assisting in the monitoring of financial information and resource allocation

The Ideal Candidate

  • Have experience of working in children and young people’s services or the education sector.
  • Be able to use initiative.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Be experienced in working with a range of different stakeholders.
  • And most importantly want to help improve outcomes for children and young people.
