International Accounting Manager

In This Role, You Will

• Own compliance requirements across UK, France, and EU jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to local statutory regulations and international accounting standards
• Partner cross‑functionally on entity set‑up processes for global operations, including legal entity formation, banking relationships, and system implementations
• Support the General Ledger team in consolidation reporting, including intercompany eliminations, currency translations, and preparation of consolidated financial statements
• Partner with external auditors during audit processes, coordinating documentation and addressing technical accounting inquiries
• Develop and maintain scalable accounting policies and procedures for European operations that align with Cohere’s global financial infrastructure
• Monitor regulatory changes across European jurisdictions and implement necessary accounting process updates
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new European entities into existing financial systems

You May Be a Good Fit If You

• Have 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant international exposure, particularly in UK, French, and EU markets
• Possess professional accounting qualifications (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent) with strong technical accounting knowledge
• Have direct experience supporting consolidation reporting and audit processes in a multinational environment
• Demonstrated success in leading new entity set‑up processes across multiple jurisdictions
• Strong understanding of European VAT/GST regulations, transfer pricing principles, and local compliance requirements
• Experience working in fast‑paced technology environments, preferably at an AI company
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and time zones
• Take a proactive, solutions‑oriented approach to complex accounting challenges
