{ “@context”: “http://schema.org”, “@type”: “JobPosting”, “title”: “Interim Disputes Lawyer – 6 month FTC”, “description”: “

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Disputes Lawyer to join a fast-growing, sustainability-focused business on an initial 6+ month contract. The work is complex, high-value, and genuinely fascinating – perfect for someone who enjoys getting into the detail of large-scale disputes and working closely with senior stakeholders.

This role offers the chance to be at the centre of a number of major commercial disputes, each valued in the multi-millions, alongside several additional matters involving professional negligence, fraud, and joint venture issues.

Be part of a small, collaborative legal team and work closely with external counsel and leading City firms on intricate, document-light disputes that require a sharp legal mind and strong commercial judgement.

There’s also potential for the role to evolve into something longer term, with a non-contentious focus, depending on business needs and performance.

The Role

  • Manage a portfolio of large-scale commercial disputes.
  • Work closely with external counsel and KCs to progress complex litigation matters.
  • Coordinate data collection and documentation across multiple parties.
  • Support cases involving M&A, JVs, professional negligence and potential fraud.
  • Provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal input in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements

  • UK-qualified lawyer with 4+ years’ PQE in commercial disputes/litigation.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience managing complex, multi-party matters.
  • Ideally, some exposure to M&A or JV-related disputes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with senior, non-legal stakeholders.
  • Happy to work in the office 2 days per week in Lincolnshire (overnight accommodation can be expensed).

What the role offers

  • Exposure to high-value, high-profile disputes with leading firms.
  • Hands-on role with real responsibility and influence.
  • Opportunity to join a business making an impact in the sustainability sector.
  • Potential for the contract to extend or become permanent.
