What will your role involve?
As a UK Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with our most important clients. This includes the development and retention of established accounts, maintaining exceptional levels of customer service, whilst engaging with potential new clients during the later stages of the sales process.
Reporting to: Head of Business Development
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and objectives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within client organisations
- Understand clients' business needs, challenges, and objectives, and proactively identify opportunities to add value and address their requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and support, to deliver integrated solutions that meet clients' needs
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients to review performance, identify opportunities for growth, and address any concerns
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to maximise profitability while maintaining strong relationships
- Manage relationships with partners involved in overall project delivery
- Prepare and present reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management to track progress and make data-driven decisions
- Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks
Skills required:
- Proven experience as a UK Key Account Manager or similar role, with a minimum of 3 years of experience, ideally dealing with Cybersecurity products and services, rail systems and technology
- Strong understanding of sales principles, account management best practices, and customer relationship management
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute plans to achieve sales targets and drive business growth
- Experience in managing contracts worth in excess of £100k+
- Experience in closing business in excess of £500k per annum
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at all levels of an organisation
- Proficiency in CRM software and Google Suite
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Professional experience of cybersecurity processes and technology
- Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling, including creating and maintaining complex pricing and business models using spreadsheet software.
