Job Description:

We are a provider of integrated security with the view of moving into facilities management services, protecting and supporting some of the UK’s most recognised organisations. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to join our expanding sales team and help us win new contracts across a broad range of sectors, including commercial real estate, retail, healthcare, and critical infrastructure.

This is a hunter role. You will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building lasting client relationships, and delivering against ambitious but achievable revenue targets.

What you’ll be doing

  • Proactively generate and qualify new business leads through networking, cold outreach, and referrals
  • Develop tailored solutions across manned guarding, mobile patrols, CCTV, reception, cleaning, and total FM services
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through tender, proposal, negotiation, and contract award
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting using CRM tools, and provide regular forecasting to the director
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client networking opportunities
  • Collaborate with operational and mobilisation teams to ensure a seamless transition from sale to delivery
  • When not in the field or meetings you would be expected to be working from our office in Sittingbourne

What we’re looking for

  • Proven B2B sales track record in security, FM, or soft services
  • Strong bid writing and proposal presentation skills
  • Experienced winning contracts of £500k+ annual value
  • Excellent communicator with senior stakeholder credibility
  • Self‑motivated with strong time and pipeline management
  • SIA licence (desirable, not essential)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Comfortable working in a field‑based, autonomous role
