Main Purpose of role
You will be tasked with leading a planning team and playing a major part in shaping the production planning strategy, ensuring that the planning processes is improved.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule, ensuring it is aligned with demand forecasts and business objectives.
- Conduct material planning processes to ensure production schedules are realistic and achievable.
- Lead the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Drive effective use of ERP systems.
- Provide regular reporting and analysis on planning KPIs, production performance.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a Production Planning or Demand planning environment from within a manufacturing environment.
- Vast knowledge of Production planning techniques and methodologies.
- Previous experience using an MRP system.
- Previous experience of managing a team, including coaching and career development.
- Highly organised.
