As a Trainer/Assessor, you will train operational team members on plant specific processes across the wash plant areas, undertake formal assessments of plant processes, and maintain documentation and training records. You will also communicate daily with the management team to address improvement areas and shortfalls.
Activities Will Include
- Coordinate plant training using the Local OCI, Power BI tracker, SINS, etc.
- React to shortfalls in operational training.
- Bring through the next generation of Duly Authorised Person training.
- Maintain auditable records of all training interactions.
The primary goal is to improve operational training levels and standards throughout the wash plant areas. This training should offer a high level of instruction, covering all of Springfield's key areas, including Safety, Quality, Integrity and Trust, Customer Focus, Innovation, Speed and Passion to Win, and Teamwork and Accountability.
You will report to the Plant Manager and be located at Springfield's fuels, Building 633. This is an onsite role.
Responsibilities
- Work to ensure that organisational activities are conducted ethically and in compliance with relevant regulations, laws and standards.
- Develop comprehensive training plans aligned with operational goals and timelines.
- Define training goals, success metrics, and qualification criteria for production teams.
- Create training materials including operating instructions, personal files and records, single‑point lessons and must‑brief documents.
- Work a day‑hour routine with the ability to work flexibly on hours if needed.
- Assess performance against required skills.
- Ensure training compliance across the business unit.
- Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and assessments.
- Monitor training progress and maintain accurate records of employee qualifications.
- Ensure you understand and apply safety standards.
- Collaborate with other departments.
- Comply with all legislative, regulatory and company policy standards and procedures (e.g. safety, quality, risk, security) applicable to the role.
Qualifications
- An industry recognised qualification in training and assessment or willingness to study to achieve this.
- Three years' experience in production operations or a training environment.
- For internal candidates: prior plant experience, DAP status and general knowledge are considered.
