International Operations Manager
Overview
Abertay University is a modern university with a global outlook. The International Recruitment and Partnerships Office (IRPO) is the central hub for global engagement, driving international student enrolment and managing partnership portfolios. A new International Operations Unit has been established to provide consistent processes, improved compliance and quality assurance, and coordinated operational support to IRPO, faculties and partners. The International Operations Manager will lead this unit, overseeing international recruitment and partnership activities to support sustainable growth and a high‑quality experience for international students and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the smooth delivery of international student recruitment processes and coordination of global academic partnerships.
- Lead the operations team, managing key compliance and quality‑assurance processes for transnational education provision.
- Resolve operational issues and support continuous improvement of systems, workflows and the student experience.
- Manage staff, allocate resources effectively and ensure internal teams and partner institutions are well‑supported and appropriately trained.
- Work with academic and professional services colleagues and overseas partners to align all activity with University policies.
Key Qualifications
- Proactive self‑starter, able to work independently, solve problems and confidently initiate and coordinate activities across multiple teams.
- Cultural awareness, patience and strong interpersonal skills when engaging with international partners, agents and prospective students.
- Ability to identify process challenges quickly and optimise solutions in a fast‑paced, demanding environment.
- Evidence of the right to work in the United Kingdom upon commencement of employment.
