Job Description Summary

The SAP Data Specialist is responsible for creating, maintaining, and assuring the quality of business critical master data within SAP systems. This role ensures accurate and timely data processing, supports smooth order to cash operations, and contributes to continuous improvement of data management processes.

Responsibilities

Master Data Creation & Maintenance

  • Follow compliant, auditable, and standardised procedures to create and amend business‑critical SAP data.
  • Manage updates predominantly in Customer Master, Pricing, and Licensing records.
  • Ensure all data entries and amendments meet internal controls, governance standards, and audit requirements.

Operational Monitoring & Issue Resolution

  • Run routine system reports to identify blocked orders, interface failures, and data inconsistencies.
  • Investigate causes of data‑related errors and work with relevant teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • Escalate recurring problems and provide clear, actionable insights.

Data Quality & Performance Delivery

  • Take ownership for ensuring 100% data accuracy within agreed service levels and time frames.
  • Validate data completeness and reliability before release into operational systems.
  • Maintain clear documentation of changes, approvals, and process adherence.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline data processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve controls.
  • Share recommendations and work collaboratively with the team to implement improvements.
  • Support the development and improvement of SOPs, work instructions, and data quality guidelines.

Essential

Skills & Experience

  • Experience working with SAP Master Data (Customer, Pricing, Licensing) or similar CRM tool.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to follow structured, auditable procedures consistently.
  • Good analytical skills, particularly in identifying data errors and trends.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.

Desirable

  • Experience with order‑to‑cash processes.
  • Understanding of data governance and compliance frameworks.
  • Previous involvement in process improvement initiatives.
