We’re looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join our Underwriting, Pricing & Risk Platform team, where you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering change across our pricing platform.
This role is ideal for a technical Business Analyst with a solid understanding of the insurance domain, who enjoys working closely with engineers and platform teams while remaining deeply connected to business stakeholders.
This is a hybrid role based from either London or Horsham.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Translating requirements into clear functional and non‑functional specifications aligned to business outcomes
- Interpreting and interrogating technical documentation, data and system designs at a detailed level
- Identifying, containing and proposing solutions to system or platform deficiencies
- Maintaining a holistic view of pricing platforms to understand cross‑functional impacts of change
- Supporting workstream planning to ensure successful delivery
- Adhering to, and helping evolve, BA Centre of Excellence standards
- Effectively managing risks, issues and stakeholder expectations
Your skills and experience:
- Experience working as a Business Analyst within insurance, underwriting, or pricing environment
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly
- Solid knowledge and application of business analysis frameworks, methodologies and best practices
- Comfortable working closely with technology teams, including detailed analysis of systems and data
- Experience supporting delivery in Agile environments (with flexibility to adapt as needed)
- Hands‑on experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence and Visio
- The ability to work resourcefully, navigate ambiguity and build trusted relationships at all levels
