Valu Trac Investment Management operates as a host Authorised Corporate Director (ACD), providing governance, oversight and operational infrastructure for UK regulated funds on behalf of multiple fund sponsors.
The Product & Regulatory Change Manager reports to the ACD Director & Head of Legal and is responsible for leading and enhancing product governance across Valu Trac’s fund range. The role spans the full product lifecycle, development of data, delivery of key regulatory change initiatives (including CCI, T+1 and enhancements to fair value reviews), and senior governance engagement, with a strong focus on fair value and positive investor outcomes.
Working within a collaborative legal, compliance, risk and operations environment, the role provides product governance expertise, analysis and challenge to support informed decision making and ensure regulatory risks are effectively managed in line with Valu Trac’s strategic objectives.
Support & Development
- Team‑based: Work closely with the ACD Director & Head of Legal, alongside collaborative product governance, legal, compliance, risk and operations teams within the host ACD environment.
- Ongoing training: Access regular CPD, regulatory updates, and internal resources, with support to develop technical expertise in product governance, Consumer Duty, CCI, and regulated funds.
- Specialist support: Clear escalation routes to senior colleagues and external advisers (including legal and regulatory specialists) for complex or unfamiliar product governance matters.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the end to end fund change and product lifecycle, from idea generation through FCA submission, approval, and implementation, working closely with the regulator, depositary, legal advisers and internal teams.
- Lead and contribute to regulatory change projects including Consumer Composite Investments, ensuring compliant implementation, accurate disclosures, and alignment with product design and target markets.
- Support the development of investor disclosure data and ongoing operation of the Assessment of Value (AoV) framework, contributing analysis, challenge, and input into clear, robust reporting for Executive Committee and Board review. Challenge and evidence fair value (fees, costs, performance, service quality, economies of scale, benchmarking).
- Provide support and help enhance the data required for regulatory reporting, including but not restricted to EMT, EPT, AIF001, AIF002, FSA042 and Solvency II.
- Ensure maintenance and enrichment of fund data within VT.
- Support the setup of fund static data within VT applications.
- Update and correct static data within specific VT applications.
- Coordinate cross functional analysis and prepare high quality proposals and papers to support senior management and Board decision making.
- Ensure products have clearly defined target markets and are designed to meet investor needs and objectives, acting as a strong advocate for investors, including vulnerable investors.
- Contribute to the development and ongoing enhancement of policies, processes and controls, driving continuous improvement (including identification of control gaps, streamline processes, and automate data/MI).
- Represent team in business initiatives and projects, supporting VT’s growth while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Ensure new and evolving regulation is implemented effectively across Valu Trac’s funds.
- Other responsibilities and requirements, as may arise during the normal course of business operations.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Strong knowledge of UK authorised/regulated funds and the FCA Handbook (e.g., COLL, COBS, PROD), including Consumer Duty.
- Experience in a senior product or investor disclosure role
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver practical, commercial advice.
- Experience collating business plans and proposals, and presenting these to diverse stakeholders
- Willingness to support regulatory change projects and business transformation.

- Experience within the wider UK financial services industry and knowledge of platform distribution models and the wealth management sector.
