Overview

About The JobGames Workshop has a rare and exciting opportunity for a Lead Commercial Manager to join the Licensing team, where you will be part of a team responsible for the video games and consumer products licensing categories. Our global Licensing department collaborates with some of the best-in-class developers and publishers, creating world-renowned video games such as Space Marine 2, Darktide and Total War: Warhammer.

You’ll play a crucial role in delivering our strategy for continuing to build the Warhammer brand in that market. Games Workshop already has a strong selection of licensees in the space and is constantly seeking more partners. This role will be responsible for finding and signing the biggest and best licences to targets, to grow our licensing business sustainably.

Responsibilities

  • Run and manage business development and commercial maximisation across all categories, with a particular focus on video games.
  • Identify, target and plan how to gain new licenses; lead pitch creation sessions and organize trade shows.
  • Negotiate new license commercial terms in collaboration with the internal legal department to ensure the best commercial deal.
  • Process and track all new agreements, including their status and points of contact at Games Workshop and with licensed partners; ensure pre-signing due diligence and greenlight processes are finalised with appropriate rigour.
  • Work with the Licensing Principal on commercial planning and reporting to support overall strategy development; track against targets and identify new commercial opportunities.
  • Apply commercial rigour to decisions across the Licensing team and contribute to growth initiatives and new categories within licensing.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience in licensing with the ability to identify, target and secure new licenses.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with internal teams, including legal, to negotiate terms.
  • Financial acumen and ability to understand and analyse data to support commercial planning.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deals, timelines and stakeholders effectively.
