Estimator - London
We are currently working with a well‑established main contractor to recruit an experienced Estimator to join their growing London team.
This is a great opportunity to join a reputable business delivering a range of projects across commercial, residential, and refurbishment sectors.
The Role
As Estimator, you will be a key part of the pre‑construction team, responsible for producing accurate and competitive tenders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
- Liaising with internal teams and attending client meetings
- Supporting the wider pre‑construction function
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Estimator within a main contractor
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and pricing
- Experience across refurbishment and/or new build projects
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Good IT skills including Excel and estimating software
