We have a fantastic opportunity at our Volkswagen Passenger Car dealership in Poole for a Local Business Development Manager to join our fleet sales team.

You will be responsible for managing new and existing business accounts while prospecting to actively promote our company and the industry‑leading Volkswagen brand.

Package

  • Hours: Monday to Friday: 8.30am to 6pm
  • Salary: Basic £30,000 to £32,000 per annum + additional OTE £20,000 per annum (UNCAPPED!)

Qualifications & Eligibility

  • Experience within a sales‑biased, account management environment
  • You must possess a strong drive to succeed, with a can‑do attitude and ability to think outside the box
  • Strong communication, sales and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build a strong rapport with new and existing customers at both entry level to Senior/ Managing Director status
  • Proactive approach to prospecting seeking new business
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • You must be computer literate and adaptable to learning our bespoke systems
  • The role will include travel; you must hold a full valid driving licence

Main Duties

  • Plan and carry out prospecting / direct marketing and sales activities to promote the brand and develop sales to local business customers along with personal contract hire opportunities in accordance with agreed business plans.
  • Maintain the CRM database using agreed systems to provide regular systematic reports showing activity, contracts, communications, sales progress, sales analysis and potential areas for sales, profit and lost opportunities.
  • Own the sales objective and achieve the objective number.
