We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Operations Manager to lead a small on‑site manufacturing team producing high‑performance components for demanding engineering customers. This hands‑on role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, precision‑driven environment and has a strong track record of delivering operational excellence.
The Assistant Operations Manager – Motorsport Manufacturing will:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a small operations team to deliver high‑quality products on time.
- Oversee daily manufacturing activities including scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation.
- Maintain and improve operational processes to drive efficiency, quality, and cost‑effectiveness.
- Build strong customer relationships, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and consistently met.
- Monitor key performance metrics, identify risks, and implement timely corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and operational performance.
The Assistant Operations Manager – Motorsport Manufacturing will have:
- Proven experience within manufacturing operations management (motorsport, automotive, or precision engineering preferred)
- Strong leadership experience managing small on‑site teams.
- Excellent problem‑solving, organisational, and communication skills.
- Good understanding of lean manufacturing, process optimisation, and quality systems.
- Experience managing customer relationships in high‑pressure technical environments.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory compliance in manufacturing.
- Experience with CNC machining, assembly, or motorsport component production.
- Familiarity with motorsport industry standards and expectations.
