This role is a hybrid position. Some roles require an office while others may be done remotely. This position is considered hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote work and in‑office collaboration. Qualified applicants must live within commuting distance of our Glasgow, Scotland office locations.
What You’ll Do
- Manage supplier relationships and commercial activities such as business and technology reviews, RFQs, and roadmap/strategy discussions.
- Craft comprehensive commodity and business strategies aimed at maximizing efficiency and driving down costs through strategic initiatives.
- Lead executive business reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish commodity strategic direction by working with our technical teams, understanding the technical and business requirements that allow for a competitive advantage and position us for profitable growth. This requires a deep understanding of the supply base, technical needs, and cost structures.
- Build robust supply chains based on product requirements and needs at the most basic levels of our supply chain to ensure that we have a complete and thorough understanding of the Sonos supply chain.
- Ensure continuity of supply. Set up long‑term/short‑term capacity planning with suppliers, partner with Operations and Material teams to schedule supply to meet Sonos’s component demand.
- Collaborate with Product Design and Engineering teams to review initial specifications of the parts/modules and recommend sources to influence technical decisions in the early phase of the program.
- Manage multiple projects in parallel.
- Evaluate technical and business risks, analyze data and create mitigation plans/alternatives.
- Support management of development builds, materials, and any risks to execute successful ramp in NPI stage.
Basic Qualifications
- BS degree with strong technical acumen and business understanding.
- 8+ years of work experience in a sourcing-related field.
- Ability to toggle between strategic and detail‑oriented thinking.

- Demonstrated ability to apply analytical techniques to problem solving.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering preferred.
- Travel within US as well as internationally up to 15% of the time.
- Experience in the consumer electronics industry.
- Established relationships with suppliers and supply chains.
- General understanding of semiconductor supply chains, manufacturing processes, and silicon platform development.
- Experience with systems such as Arena, MicroStrategy, Tableau, SAP.
- Hands‑on experience in any of the following: Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor markets, Pricing strategy for electrical parts.
