Site Agent - Shaft Sinking / Tunnelling
Location: Otterbourne
Rate: £350 per day
Duration: 12‑month contract
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Site Agent to work on a shaft sinking and tunnelling package on a water treatment site in Otterbourne. This is a long‑term opportunity on a technically challenging project, suitable for someone with a strong background in water treatment, utilities, or tunnelling works.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing daily site operations on shaft sinking and tunnelling works
- Coordinating subcontractors, labour, plant, and materials
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification
- Maintaining high standards of H&S, quality, and environmental compliance
- Liaising with engineers, project managers, and client representatives
- Supporting planning, permits, RAMS, and progress reporting
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Agent on shaft sinking, tunnelling, utilities, or water treatment projects
- Strong understanding of water / wastewater environments
- Excellent knowledge of H&S and site management procedures
- SMSTS (essential)
- CSCS (essential)
- Temporary Works knowledge (advantageous)
